OFON WORLD is a group exhibition of four media artists, Gijeong Goo, Unhappy Circuit, Jihoon Lee, and Hyunseok Jeong, which shows the point of breaking down the boundaries between reality and the digital world and combining and expanding them through their works which are videos, sound, drawings and installation works with their own medium.

In the title of OFON WORLD, the word ‘OFON’ comes from the act of controlling a machine or device ON/OFF. By changing the position of these two words, it means turning on another world's switch, which had been turned off in the dark. Therefore, we combined them to create a new word ‘OFON’ and put it in the title. Also, the pronunciation is similar to UPON WORLD, so it is like a play on words that can be interpreted in various meanings such as "Above the world" and "When contact with the world occurs."
The exhibition will show the artists' journey to explore human beings, machines, universes, nature and objects, and you will also get a glimpse of the artists' traces to further embody unique works of art that you have never found before. The exhibition will be displayed in the preserved area 3F and 4F spaces of Bucheon Art Bunker B39.
Gijeong Goo is a visual artist who explores the relationships between human, machine, and nature. He attempts to recreate the real-life-based experience in the digital world mainly by using visual storage devices like digital
cameras, and he uses his work as a device to understand the augmented reality and the complex realism of the present world.

Unhappy Circuit focuses on combining and expanding the boundaries of various medium and technologies based on AI and data science, ranging from digital media experimental art, science and engineering. By asking the
question, “what is it like to be a human being?” he says that the direction of the future for humans to move forward and the ultimate value of overcoming the limits of human perception are art, science and technology.
Jihoon Lee is a multimedia artist who produces his own publication, videos, glitch art, and installations inspired by pop art and subculture, and the digital era. He sets specific keywords, examines the appropriate materials and data, collect them, and adds sound selection and video by going through several trials and errors and creates works like puzzles.
Hyunseok Jeong has worked as a motion graphic designer for several years, and he is currently working on experimental films and videos. In particular, he reinterprets images of combinations and conflicts and expresses them in an artist's unique way by attempting to explore the relationship between objects and the human body.
